The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 1:30 the morning of Saturday, November 12, 2022, and callers told dispatchers multiple people had been shot. A series of shots were fired in the party area. People ran to their cars and multiple shots were fired by people leaving. A total of six people were shot.
The shooting victims were identified as:
Cierra Webb, who was identified as the deceased; a 16-year-old juvenile who was transported to the Nash UNC emergency room; Zachary Bagley, from Washington, N.C., was transported to ECU Health in Greenville for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening; Eddie Jeffries, of Roanoke Rapids, was transported to ECU Health in Greenville for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening; Ralph Mayo Jr., of Roanoke Rapids, was transported to ECU North and was treated and released; Anthony Chavis Jr., of Rocky Mount, was airlifted to ECU Health and was reported to be in stable condition; and Keona Pulley of Rocky Mount was treated and released at Nash UNC for a shoulder injury she sustained while fleeing.
When deputies arrived, they located several people who had been injured and one person who was deceased. More than 700 people attended the party held at Double D Ranch outside Enfield on Green Acres Road.
The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office has continuously pleaded for help from partygoers to share videos and other helpful information that could assist with identifying persons who were recklessly shooting at this party. On Saturday, February 13, 2021, Tyquan Moody was at home with his grandmother in the Everette School Road area. Unknown individuals entered the residence, where Tyquan Moody fought them before ultimately being shot. His Grandmother was struck over the head with a blunt object and knocked unconscious.

On Monday, December 16, 2019, John Ausby was located in a wooded area off of Sycamore Street in South Weldon. John had been shot somewhere else then carried to this location and left. John Ausby was originally reported missing to the Weldon Police Department a week prior and was last seen dropping off his grandchildren after babysitting for the day.

On Monday, October 14, 2019, Christopher Jason-Wayne Monger lost his life to gun violence at the Creekside Court Apartment Complex in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

On Sunday, August 17, 2014, Julius Brinson was visiting a friend’s house in the Enfield area. While visiting his friend there was a knock at the door and four unidentified black males entered the residence with robbery as a motive. Julius Brinson was shot and killed by one of the males while two others beat and shot his friend in another room. The four suspects fled the scene in a 90’s model green Honda Accord.

On Saturday, August 13th, 2011, at 1:45 am Halifax County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a call at "Club Dreams" on Highway 158 in Littleton, NC in Halifax County. When they arrived, they found Jeffrey Cotton shot in the back. He died from his injuries.

On Friday, November 24th, 2006, Wilbert Caine was in Scotland Neck in Halifax County. At around 8:30 pm, he was robbed and ordered to go to a neighbor's house. The suspect(s) also robbed the neighbor. When he left the house he and the neighbor were shot. Mr. Caine did not survive his injuries. The alleged gunman was in a dark-colored SUV with a chrome grill.

On Saturday, June 12, 2004, Timothy Hendricks had just arrived at his house in Enfield with two of his close friends. The three sat outside the house for a period of time before deciding to go into the residence and cook something. After being inside for a short period of time, three males dressed in all black came bursting in from a back bedroom. Timothy’s two friends were handcuffed and struck in the back of the head with a firearm. The males then took Timothy outside and shot him multiple times.
